Two harpies swoop at each other on the roof of no.12 West Street as the windows and door crash open and shut in the wind. On the top floor of the house a couple bounce energrtically in the bed while downstairs, intermitently lit up, an old man tries to read his book. He looks up in puzzlement from time to time at the strange goings on above. In the cellar a bird pecks at a pile of bones. The sounds of the automaton are picked up on a contact mike and amplified to create a cacophony much like a tin shed in a thunderstorm. The electronics all run off a dynamo which is powered by the turning of the handle.
